South Inglewood Park and Community Center is located a few blocks off Riverside Drive in East Nashville. It is a big park with 2 play areas and a shaded network of paved walking trails.
Playground
Park in the lot in front of the recreation center and just behind the building (near Ann St. and Branch St.) you will find a large playscape, swings and a purple dinosaur rocker. He looks like a cross between T-Rex and Barney, but as you can see he lots of fun to play on!
Walking Trails
On the same side of the park you can access the shaded walking trails.
South Inglewood Recreation Center is one of Metro Nashville’s smaller neighborhood community centers. It has a gym and a game room that are free to use. In addition the Rec Center offers daily programming for kids. See the schedule HERE.
Cahal Avenue Playground and Rain Garden
On the other side of the park, facing Cahal Avenue there is a second playscape as well as a large picnic shelter. There is also a “rain garden” with details of how the garden works and how you could build your own.
