Learn More About the Nashville Fun for Families Team
Nashville Fun for Families started in July of 2012 and is a locally owned and run website to help families find new ideas for fun and adventure in middle Tennessee. We provide non biased reviews of places to visit in the area, a family fun calendar of events, seasonal fun guides and more. In addition to providing an online resource to find adventures and activities in middle Tennessee, Nashville Fun for Families strives to give back to the community hosting events including a morning with Santa for children with special needs.

Thanks for stopping by our website and joining in on the fun! I am a transplant to the Nashville area after my husband was transferred in 2012. A life long Texan – Nashville has provided so much to explore! Before kids, I was in the Merchant Marines and have always enjoyed finding new things to do and see. Now I’m a local tourist and my co-adventurers Tamzin (10) and Declan (15) will be sharing all the great places and activities we find. I hope you enjoy the info and if you try out one of the places or activities please make sure to come back and let us know what you thought!

I was born and raised in the Nashville area and have lived in Hendersonville, Murfreesboro, and Mount Juliet. I have 3 girls – Savannah (18), Kaylee (17) and Ava (13), and I am step-mom to Dylan (25), Emily (21), Anna (17) and Katie (15). Most of my time is spent driving all these kids from one activity to another and coming up with economical ways to entertain them.

I was born and raised, and now raising a family of my own in Middle Tennessee. My husband and I currently live in Nashville with our three children. Hunter is 14, Grayson is 11 and Hailey is 4. We’re an unschooling family, which means that we spend lots and lots of time out and about exploring all that this city has to offer! My hobbies include photography, writing, caring for our chickens, gardening and reading. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to share our family’s adventures with others in the area, and to hopefully inspire your own adventure! You can follow me on Instagram @the.unschool.life.
