If you are the parent of a preschooler, local storytimes in Nashville could be a great sanity saver for you. Most of our local library branches and some local businesses offer story times each week at a scheduled time. This can be a chance for moms and dads to meet people and make friends, especially if you are new to a community. When my children were tiny, local storytime at my library was the one day of the week that I knew we were leaving the house! It was a time that we all looked forward to every week.
Attending a story time will also give you the opportunity to learn about other fun events and materials available at your library. And don’t limit yourself to the library closest to you! You can drive from Hendersonville to Goodlettsville, Hermitage to Mt Juliet or Smyrna to Murfreesboro in about 15 minutes. I love my home library in Mt Juliet but I’m also only 30 minutes away from the main Nashville branch and ya’ll…come on now. That main library is amazing. So I’m willing to drive a bit every now and then. And maybe the kids are driving you bananas and your local storytime is 2 days away? Check this list! There’s an excellent chance you can find a storytime going on somewhere close to you happening today.
