Are you looking to explore the outdoors with your child? In the Summer and Fall of 2022, Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park is partnering with 3 other state parks in Middle Tennessee to host Kit’s Club! These programs are a series of educational activities for children ages 4-8 years old. Each session will focus on either soil, water, or recycling. These nature play activities will help connect children with nature and teach them about their place in it. Kit’s Club sessions last 1-hour and are based on Growing up WILD curriculum. 

 

Each week we will offer a different topic: 

• Wiggling Worms: Let’s get dirty… Why is it important? What is it good for? 
• Aqua Charades: The Duck River watershed  
• Less is More: Nature’s natural way of rejuvenating itself 

Please stay within eyesight of your child during each program or stay and learn alongside us! 

 

To help accommodate the varied schedules of park visitors Kit’s Club has been designed to allow participation in multiple ways. Join us three weeks in a row, mix and match weeks over three months, or take part in programs at each of the participating parks: Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, Henry Horton State Park, Long Hunter State Park, and Cedars of Lebanon State Park.
