Wilderness at the Smokies 10th Anniversary Sweepstakes

This is a sponsored article; while the views expressed here are genuinely mine, consideration was paid to me by Wilderness at the Smokies to share the fun and adventure awaiting your family at their resort.

Wilderness at the Smokies, Tennessee’s largest waterpark resort and family adventure center, is celebrating its 10th Anniversary with an amazing sweepstakes and the opportunity to make fun family memories that will last a lifetime.

Vacation and weekend getaways to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Sevierville are a tradition for many families in Middle Tennessee. I remember lots of  trips to the Smoky Mountains during my childhood. The area has tripled in size since then and there is so much more to do now! I’ve taken my own family many times over the years. We’ve stayed in mountain cabins and hotels on the Gatlinburg strip. But several years ago, we booked our first stay at Wilderness at the Smokies and since then, it is our “go to” for Smoky Mountain vacations.

Visit Tennessee’s Largest Waterpark Resort

Wilderness at the Smokies Waterpark Resort and Family Entertainment Center features two outdoor water parks and the Wild WaterDome, Tennessee’s Largest Indoor Waterpark. Admission to all of the waterparks is included with the cost of your stay! My family enjoys the outdoor parks, especially the Lazy River and the huge water slides if we vacation in the summer months. But the indoor park is the main reason we all enjoy Wilderness in the Smokies.

The indoor park offers something for everyone. My adventurous kids love the water slides. I prefer to relax in the indoor/outdoor hot tub. The indoor park also includes a toddler play area, a wave pool, and lots more. And, unlike a traditional water park, your room is right down the hall! So it’s really convenient to go back to your room to eat or nap and then return to the park.

The indoor Wild WaterDome is a constant 84 degrees year round and it has a see through roof so even if you visit in the winter, you might still go home with a great tan! We really love to stay at Wilderness during the winter holidays. We are always home for Christmas but the week prior to or right after the holiday is a great time to visit. Wilderness offers lots of special deals throughout the year, which you can find here: www.WildernessAtTheSmokies.com/specials. I’m sure there is one to save on your next visit!

Wilderness at the Smokies Lodging

Wilderness at the Smokies has lots of lodging options. There are 713 rooms, suites, and villas in the complex. My family can number up to 9 if we include all of our children and as low as 4 if only our school age kids come with us. Wilderness has an option for both extremes! Our favorite rooms are the family suites in the River Lodge. They include a full kitchen which helps make travelling more economical (especially if you travel with 5 hungry kids!) And if you are travelling with friends, you can connect 3 rooms and have plenty of room for everyone!

Lots of Entertainment Options

There are also non water attractions at Wilderness in the Smokies. Your family can enjoy the Adventure Forest, a family adventure center that features a 3-story ropes course, multi-level laser tag, black light mini-golf, a mega arcade and much more!

The resort is convenient to all the area attractions including the Smoky Mountain National Park (18 miles), Pigeon Forge (10 miles), and Gatlinburg (15 miles). However, there is so much to do just at Wilderness at the Smokies, our family has visited several times and never left the property. There is so much to within the resort we never felt the need to leave!
