Local Parades

Hendersonville Veterans Day Parade, Sunday November 5, 2023 starts at 2 PM

Come out and celebrate Veterans from all conflicts with a parade in Hendersonville. The route will follow the traditional Hendersonville parade route, starting at Cherokee Rd. and move along Main to Executive Park Dr.

Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade, Saturday November 11, 2023 at 10 AM

The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, Nov. 11, with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9 a.m. in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville. Keynote speaker is Air Force Master Sergeant (Ret) Joe Thomas, Jr.

This year’s Veterans Day parade theme is “Salute to Veterans in Law Enforcement”. For those unable to attend in person, the parade will be broadcast live on the Montgomery County Facebook page. It will also be filmed and posted on CDE Lightband’s Clarksville Community Network (CCN).

The Parade will begin at 10 a.m. at the corner of N. Eighth and College Streets, next to the Sundquist Science Building at Austin Peay State University, with the reviewing stand at the Third Street side of the courthouse. The parade will proceed from College left onto University Avenue, right onto Main Street, left onto 3rd Street, left onto Commerce Street, left onto University Avenue, right onto Franklin Street, left onto 8th Street and back to the APSU parking area.

Veterans Day Ceremony in La Vergne, November 11, 2023 at 11 AM

In honor of the Veterans who have served in the armed forces, the City of La Vergne will be holding its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11 at La Vergne City Hall, 5093 Murfreesboro Road.

The ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. Our Guest Speakers this year will be announced at a later date. Please join us and spend some time honoring and thanking military veterans

Franklin Veterans Parade, November 10, 2023 starts at 11 AM

The City of Franklin will remember and honor all veterans at its Veterans’ Day Parade being held in Downtown Franklin on November 10, 2023, at 11 a.m. The parade is a joint effort of the City and local radio station WAKM AM-950.

The parade route travels down Main Street, from Five Points to Second Avenue. JROTC units and/or marching bands from Williamson County high schools will participate. The Franklin Special School District will also send a large group of students to show their appreciation to veterans.

The Parade begins promptly at 11:00 a.m. at West Main and Fifth Avenue. Prior to the parade, a reception will be held at the Williamson County Archives from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. for local veterans and their families.

If you have served, please be sure to take advantage of a discount or free meal this weekend! Military Appreciation Day at the Nashville Zoo (Map)  Sunday, November 12, 2023 9 AM to 4 PM

In gratitude for the commitment, bravery and sacrifices made by those who serve our country, Nashville Zoo and Regions Bank invite active military personnel, military veterans and their immediate families to receive free admission during Military Appreciation Day on Sunday, November 12. Advance reservations are not required. See below for redemption instructions.

Who is eligible?

Active military personnel, military veterans and their immediate families.

How to receive the discount:

Visitors must show their military ID, veteran organization ID, discharge papers or other official military identification to be given free admission. If not accompanied by military personnel, dependents must have official dependent ID cards to receive the discounted admission. Please note: The normal parking fee will still apply.
