Veterans Day Events and Deals in Nashville

There are many ways to celebrate Veterans Day to thank those who have served and remember those we have lost. Attend one of the many area events and if you are a veteran, please take advantage of one of the many deals and discounts as a special thank you for your service.

Local Parades

This year, Veterans Day falls on a Thursday, however there are ceremonies and parades happening the weekend before and after November 11th.

Cheatham County Veterans Day Ceremony – November 11, 2021 @ 11AM

The annual Cheatham County Veterans Day ceremony will be held this year at the Veterans Memorial park in Ashland City on Thursday, Nov. 11.

The memorial park opened last May at the corner of Highway 49 and Bell Street. In previous years the Veterans Day ceremony had been held on the lawn of the county courthouse.

The Veterans Day ceremony will start at the historically set time of 11 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month. The program is expected to last about an hour and the public is encouraged to attend.

Hendersonville Veterans Day Parade, Sunday November 7, 2021 starts at 2 PM

Come out and celebrate Veterans from all conflicts with a parade in Hendersonville. The route will follow the traditional Hendersonville parade route, starting at Cherokee Rd. and move along Main to Executive Park Dr.

Lebanon Veterans Day Parade, November 11, 2021 at 10 AM

The parade begins at the Lebanon/Wilson County Library and continues to the Veterans Plaza on East Main Street. A celebration at the Veterans Plaza will follow at 11 AM.

Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade, Saturday November 6, 2021 at 10 AM

The Parade will begin at 10 a.m. at the corner of N. Eighth and College Streets, next to the Sundquist Science Building at Austin Peay State University, with the reviewing stand at the Third Street side of the courthouse.  The parade will proceed from College left onto University Avenue, right onto Main Street, left onto 3rdStreet, left onto Commerce Street, left onto University Avenue, right onto Franklin Street, left onto 8th Street and back to the APSU parking area. City of Nolensville Parade and Breakfast, Saturday November 6, 2021 @ 11AM

The parade route begins on Oldham Drive, right on Dortch, right on Stonebrook, left onto Nolensville Road to Nolensville Park.

Fallen Soldiers 32 Mile March, November 11, 2021

We are proud to announce the Thirteenth Annual Fallen Service March Veterans Day honor March will be held again this year on Veterans Day: Thursday, November 11, 2021.

We encourage everyone – Veterans, family, friends, and patriots – to make a special effort this day to remember and honor our Veterans!

We are still finalizing the march route, however we will be concluding the march at the Wilson County Veterans Museum – we will also be awarding a Service Dog to a local Veteran during the ceremony.

Previously, all along the 32 mile route patriotic support was awe-inspiring. At the conclusion of the march we invite participants and family members to join us at the Wilson County Veterans Plaza and Museum in Lebanon, Tennessee to honor our Veterans and family members by praying, sharing remembrance rehabs stories, singing and contributing financial donations used to help purchase Service Dogs for our Veterans.

Veterans Day Ceremony in La Vergne, November 11, 2021 at 11 AM

The annual ceremony, held at Veterans Memorial Park’s memorial wall, is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on November 11. Click here for more details.

Murfreesboro Veterans Day Memorial Service, November 11, 2021 at 11 AM

Nashville Veteran’s Day Parade, November 11, 2021 at 11 AM

Line up along Broadway between 14th Ave and 3rd Ave to see the parade starting at 11 AM.

Franklin Veterans Parade, November 11, 2021 starts at 11 AM

The City of Franklin will remember and honor all veterans at its Veterans’ Day Parade being held in Downtown Franklin on November 11, 2021, at 11 a.m. The parade is a joint effort of the City and local radio station WAKM AM-950.

The parade route travels down Main Street, from Five Points to Second Avenue. JROTC units and/or marching bands from Williamson County high schools will participate. The Franklin Special School District will also send a large group of students to show their appreciation to veterans.

The Parade begins promptly at 11:00 a.m. at West Main and Fifth Avenue. Prior to the parade, a reception will be held at the Williamson County Archives from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. for local veterans and their families.
