Sparkle: A Country Christmas Carol

Unfortunately, Sparkle: A Country Christmas Carol has closed early for the 2017 season.  We don’t have any details but if you purchased tickets in advance, you should get an automatic refund according to information on Sparkle’s Facebook page.  You can email the company at if you have any further questions.

Sparkle: A Country Christmas Carol is a brand new attraction for 2017, on the grounds of the beautiful Fontanel Mansion in Nashville! The classic tale of A Christmas Carol becomes larger than life with giant, colorful, lantern displays.

When you first arrive at The Fontanel you’ll see attendants directing you where to park. The night we went wasn’t too terribly crowded, so we didn’t have far to walk to the entrance.

Almost all of the path at Sparkle is paved. The sections that aren’t have a thick ground covering laid down, making the attraction easily accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. The entrance, however, is grass-only. This is where you’ll find the gift shop, food trucks and bonfire stations. There were no stairs or steep inclines anywhere along the path.

The first stop on our walk-through after our bellies were full of roasted marshmallows? Page 1, of course! We found ourselves standing right there at Scrooge’s accounting office.

Each stop along the way had a giant page for us to read, which helped tell the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge, the 3 ghosts, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim and the rest of the characters of Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol.

As if this amazing display wasn’t enough on it’s own — the end of the trail will leave you mesmerized! You’ll find enormous trees made of lights, projected video and some rockin’ Christmas tunes!

This truly is a fun night out for the whole family. Get over to The Fontanel and check it out before the season’s over!

Crystal was born and raised, and now raising a family of her own in Middle Tennessee. She currently lives in Murfreesboro with her husband Glenn, and their three children; Hunter, Grayson, and Hailey. They are an unschooling family, meaning they spend lots and lots of time out and about exploring all that this area has to offer!
