Staying home this summer and want some adventure? These online summer camps provide missions, competitions and learning all summer long. Log in and get your daily activity and spend the day creating robots, learning to draw and search for treasure online.

Free Online Camps

Camp Wonderopolis – FREE – Join in and explore different tracks of STEM-based adventures. The 2019 information is coming soon. 

Start with a Book – FREE – Use these 24 learning themed guides to explore a topic with your family. Each gives age-appropriate book suggestions, activities, websites, and apps. Want more? Check out the 6 themed DIY Science Camps and ideas for Summer Writing!

Maker Camp – FREE – This online camp is sponsored by Make magazine and Google. Join in the fun and create projects, go on virtual field trips and meet some great makers! There are some projects online now and the 2019 projects will be available soon.

Camp PBS Parents – FREE – Use these ideas and create a summer camp at home. Geared for kids from 1 to 8 years old.

Camp Playful – FREE – Sign up and you will receive a new project made from items you probably have at home, each week for 5 weeks.

Online Camps with a Fee

DIY Camps – Aimed at kids starting at age 4, there are programs for elementary ages, tweens, and teens. JAM has a lot of different camps including LEGOs, cooking, minecraft and more! Try it out for 14 days for free. After the trial there are several options depending on the size of your family, if you want to pay monthly or annually. An Explorer pass for access to all the classes for one child for a year for $180. You can also get a Family Pass which is good for all classes for one year for up to 4 kids for $240.

Summer of Minecraft Online Camp – Camps start at $55 each and have co-ed and girls only options. Spend a week learning to build in Minecraft, code using Scratch or other computer languages, and even learn some game design.

Brain Chase – $79 – $199 – Geared at 2nd through 8th graders, this 7-week program challenges kids to complete an hour of learning daily which unlocks clues in a treasure hunt. Complete all 7 weeks and you may be the lucky winner of a $5,000 scholarship!
