Nashville is known for it’s murals. There are tours, maps, and lots of resources to find them all. However, there are other middle Tennessee cities that also have murals worth seeking out. Here are the murals you can find in Mt Juliet, Tennessee.
I’ve shared what I know about the artists and stories behind each mural. If you know more please share in a comment.

Mt. Juliet Mural
Address: 2365 North Mt. Juliet Road, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122
This mural was commissioned by Jennifer Osborne in 2019. The painter, Kristy Oakley, has several other murals in Donelson, Old Hickory Village, and Nashville. This one includes tributes to all the many people and places that make Mt. Juliet special.
When you stop to see the Mt. Juliet mural above, be sure to walk around to the front of the building to see these three murals. Depending on the time of the year, they may be hidden a bit by bushes. They were painted after Mt. Juliet was hit by a tornado on March 3, 2020.
This first panel is in remembrance of the three people in the city who lost their lives in the storm.
The community pulled together to help those families who lost everything.
And a special thank you to all the first responders.
Home Sweet Home

Address: 245 North Mt. Juliet Rd. Mt Juliet, TN 37122

Mt. Juliet Piano
Address: 1246-1280 N Mt Juliet Rd, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122
This is not a mural, but definitely worth stopping to see. This piano does play, so if you can play (and even if you can’t), share a tune. The easiest way to access it is park at Robinson Park and walk down the greenway. The piano is under a shelter along N. Mt. Juliet Road.
Welcome to Mt. Juliet
Address: Corner of Weston Drive and North Mt. Juliet Road, Mt. Juliet, Tennessee 37122
Located in front of West Wilson Middle School, this welcome display was first constructed in 2018 as an Eagle Scout Project. There was a black historic car, but it was damaged beyond repair by the March 2020 tornado.
The car was recently replaced by this restored 1964 Ford F-100 truck in honor of Glenn “Oco” Hamblen. Mr. Hamblen was a longtime resident and owner of Hamblen’s Wrecker Service, which he started in 1962. He passed away in December of 2019, and the truck was painted by Kristy Oakley in tribute.
Be sure to see the entire display including the tribute to #MtJulietStrong, the community response to the tornado.
Let me know if I missed one, and enjoy exploring the murals and art displays in Mt Juliet!
