Free Kids’ Building Workshops

Have a little carpenter? Both Home Depot and Lowe’s host free kids’ building clinics.

Free Kids' Building Workshops - home depot kids

My family has done projects at both and really enjoyed it. Home Depot gives the kids an apron – just like the one the employees wear and then for each project you attend your child gets a pin to add to his/her apron. The workshops are always held the first Saturday of the month from 9 AM to noon. You do not have to  pre-register. But it helps out the store if you do. We have had to wait before for a work station but we have never been turned away. There were always enough project kits to go around. 🙂

Click the Home Depot logo above and enter your zip code to find the closest store for more details.

Sadly, Lowe’s Build and Grow workshops were discontinued in January 2017.
