Stompin’ Grounds
Stompin’ Grounds is the more casual restaurant option and would be completely kid friendly. They serve Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Dinner. The menu has some great choices but leave room for dessert!
The Stompin Grounds Market has amazing sweet options (they employ a French Pastry Chef!) The market also offers coffee, pastries, hot drinks, and gelato. So even if you aren’t planning a meal at the hotel, the market can be a great option to grab a muffin and macchiato while you are enjoying downtown.
Bourbon Steak
Planning a celebratory date night? The Bourbon Steak restaurant is the perfect place. Maybe you’re like me and you go on a ‘dress up’ fancy date about once a decade.
The next time that occasion rolls around, I’m dusting off my high heels and steering my minivan directly to this place. The decor! The menu! The view! The Wine List! (And there wasn’t a booster seat or kid’s menu in sight!)
If you’d like to take advantage of most of the perks of Bourbon Steak without the luxury price tag, pop in for cocktails at the Bourbon Sky. Relax with small plates and drinks on the open air terrace and experience one of the best views you can get of Nashville.
Or choose the Cumberland Bar. It’s located on the Lobby level of the hotel. If you love people watching, grab a seat and a drink here during your Nashville adventures.
Parking
If you are reluctant to be a hometown tourist due to the stress of finding a decent place to park downtown, JW Marriott Nashville has Valet service free for 2 hours if you dine at one of their restaurants.
If your meal doesn’t last the full 2 hours, take a walk around downtown before heading back to get your car.
Stay at JW
JW Marriott Nashville has lots of perks that are reserved for guests. If you have friends or family visiting and they want a fully immersive Nashville experience, this hotel is the place to be.
There are several room types and suites from which to choose. If you’re staying in a room with children, here’s my favorite part: The toilet is separate from the rest of the bathroom.
I’ve stayed in many hotels with a whole bunch of kids and I’m telling you, this is a lifesaver! It’s not the kind of amenity most hotels mention but for moms and dads, it’s a huge bonus 🙂
My favorite part of the hotel exclusive to guests is the rooftop pool. Relax by the gorgeous pool and take in the stunning views of the city.
While you swim or lounge, visit the Cabana Bar for drinks and snacks. They even have popsicles on the menu for those sweltering summer days!
Play at JW
JW Marriott Nashville also hosts events at the hotel for the public to attend. This summer, Cinema by JW offers movies on the lawn outside the hotel on several dates.
Plan a fun day out with adult friends at Goat Yoga and Brunch, offered at JW the first Saturday of the month in July & August. Other seasonal events may follow so watch our calendar for information.
Don’t forget the Spa at JW. They offer massages, mani/pedis, facials and more in their 4,000 square foot facility. They recently started Wellness Wednesdays, a weekly program that offers complimentary manicures and wine with the purchase of any 50-minute spa treatment. Treat yourself!
