Experience the War of 1812 by campfire at this exclusive one-night-only event! Featuring a 150-person encampment with the United States 7th Infantry, a guide will take guests on a 45-minute lantern walking tour throughout the militia camp to learn about the War of 1812. Get a chance to hear from militia soldiers, Native American allies, famous historical figures, and the General himself as they fight to secure American freedom against the British. Complimentary hot chocolate is included and the Museum Store will stay open until 9:00 pm.
Tours will depart from the Visitor Center every 15 minutes between 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm with limited spaces available, so be sure to reserve your timed tickets online! Guests must check in 10 minutes prior to tour time.
Tickets are $20 adults, $10 children ages 6-12, children 5 and under are free.
Please wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate layers. Strollers will not be permitted in the encampment. We are happy to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility concerns, and a call in advance would help us facilitate your experience!
