Tomahawk Throwing for Beginners

January 12, 2019 @ 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Come join the Coalition and learn how much fun it is to throw a tomahawk. There is little reliable historical record that shows long hunters, Cumberland settlers, or anyone else threw tomahawks for entertainment. That being said, we all know that people will go to great lengths to entertain themselves, so who knows!. Come learn how much fun it is to throw a tomahawk and hear that wonderous “thunk” sound when your hawk finds its mark.

We will also have a separate area for kids 14 to 18 so they can learn this addictive pass time.

Every thing you need will be provided, all you have to do is show up and give it a try. Hawk range will be set up next to the Colonial Trade Cabin on the Tennessee History Trail which will be open to the public. Cost for participation is $10 per adult and can be paid on the day of the event. All proceeds go to support educational programming on the Tennessee History Trail.
