Go green as we celebrate our earth.
Learn how to protect our big blue planet by going green! We’ll explore everything from flowers to biodiversity, recycling to conservation, sustainability and more.
Recycle Relay: In this interactive activity, we will learn what is recyclable and what is not. Can you organize the bin before the clock runs out?
Water We Testing?: Chemicals, pollutants, debris: Oh my! What is going on in our water? Come explore what a scientist is looking for when we test our various water samples, and learn about what causes our water to become polluted!
Seed Starters: Do all seeds look the same? Can you tell the difference between a pumpkin seed and a cucumber seed? At this activity we will be providing garden starter kits so that you can bring the science home! While supplies last.
Powerful Pollinators: Do you enjoy apples? Almonds? Cotton? Then chances are, you like pollinators! But what is a pollinator? This interactive cart will test your knowledge with a game- can you match these powerful pollinators to the flowers they prefer?
Bee a Beekeeper: In this live science demonstration, we will explore the tools that beekeepers use to keep them (and the bees) safe! Children will have the opportunity to try on a real beekeeper suit and get a hands-on approach to what it takes to be a beekeeper
Renewable Energy: In this energetic demonstration, we will discuss alternative ways that we can get energy. We will focus on sustainability, and what it means to have clean energy.
