Brentwood Summer Concerts Series: Red, White and Boom in Brentwood, featuring The Smoking Section

About The Smoking Section:
In 2021, Brentwood’s July 4th event had a new band on stage. Tim Akers and the Smoking Section moved in for the Kadillacs who performed at the Brentwood Independence Day Celebration at Crockett Park every year since 1987. Akers and his band debuted in Brentwood at BrentFest in 2019 in celebration of the City’s 50th year of incorporation as a City. Akers and his band rocked the amphitheater in 2019 and again in 2021. For anyone in attendance, it was two memorable shows. Unfortunately, Akers passed away suddenly in 2021 after a battle with leukemia. His band is still together and rocked in his honor on July 4th, 2022.
