Join us on National Book Lovers Day, August 9th, for a special celebration at Mill Ridge Park. From 10 AM to 11 AM, gather under Ole Girl, our beloved red maple storytime tree, for an engaging storytime hour.

Following this, join us for the exciting launch of our newly constructed Little Free Library, modeled after the original barn here at the park. Bring a book to donate or exchange and receive your choice of a bookmark or bookish sticker as our thanks for your contribution.

We’ll provide snacks and light refreshments. After the storytime hour, we encourage families to picnic with us overlooking our pond in the Friends Lawn or under Ole Girl.

Folding camp-style chairs and limited picnic tables will be available. We suggest bringing blankets and additional chairs for your family’s comfort during the event.
