Nashville Public Library LEGO® Contest

The library will host its 9th annual LEGO® Contest this month, drawing enthusiasts of all ages to put their best original creations on display during a two-day event.Registration, free and available to everyone, is open until February 9. The contest will run Saturday, Feb. 16, and Sunday, Feb. 17, at the Main Library, 615 Church Street in downtown Nashville. To participate, register at any NPL location or online at library.nashville.org/lego. Use your own LEGO®, DUPLO®, Mega bloks® or other compatible plastic bricks to build your creation, and your work will be on display for public viewing from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, and 2-3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17. At an awards ceremony held Sunday, Feb. 17, at 3 p.m., you could win first place, runner up, or crowd favorite in one of six categories: Preschool–K; Grades 1-2; Grades 3-4; Grades 5-7; Grades 8-12; and Adults. Participants could also win a “Construction Superlative” recognition from Messer Construction Co., this year’s presenting sponsor.
