Many artists collaborate with instrument designers to create custom guitars, banjos, and more. Young designers will learn about a selection of the many instruments on display in the galleries. Afterwards, they will have an opportunity to personalize their own paper instruments. Unique custom pieces on view include Waylon Jennings’s leather-covered Telecaster electric guitar and Taylor Swift’s Swarovski crystal-encrusted Taylor acoustic guitar, to name a few. All ages. Taylor Swift Education Center. Limited seating. Included with museum admission. Free to members. Youth from Davidson County and counties that surround Davidson may enter the museum free as part of the Museum’s Community Counts initiative. Up to two accompanying adults receive 25 percent off admission. Proof of residency required. For more information, please visit Community Counts or inquire at the Box Office.
Masks are currently required for educational programs in the Museum’s theaters and classrooms. Read more about our COVID-19 policies and procedures.
