Please join the Brentwood City Commission and the Tree Board for the 2023 Arbor Day Celebration, to be held on Saturday, March 25 from 11am-1pm, with the official program starting at 11:30 a.m., at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library. There will be free tree seedlings given away for families to plant, free ice cream thanks to Bradley’s Creamery, and several vendors with helpful environmental information. There will also be an “Ask the Arborist” station where a certified arborist will be able to offer advice and answer questions about tree health, the Emerald Ash Borer impacts to your backyard, and other information.
The festival will include other children’s activities and free grilled cheese sandwiches provided by Middle Tennessee Electric. There will also be guided tours of the Library Arboretum and the Brentwood Fire and Rescue Department will have a fire truck on site. The annual Arbor Day Contest Awards will also be presented.
The writing and poster contests are now open for contestants. This year’s topic is “Trees Have Flair.”
