As you enter the park, the 60 ft wading pool/splash pad will be right in front.  Admission is FREE – this is a change from last year when you had to buy a $2 ticket. The splash pad is free during normal hours (typically 10 AM to 5 PM) and can be rented for private parties after hours for a fee. This area is generally open from May through Labor Day.

To the left of the splash pad there is  a covered picnic shelter with four tables and a grill.   Beyond that are two sand volleyball courts.   There are  tables and these great swings scattered throughout the park.   So your picnic or relaxation choices are unlimited.

To the left of the volleyball courts is a 9 station outdoor fitness center for exercise or stretching.   The whole park is encircled by a walking trail. The trail is 2.5 miles long, and it can be used for walking, bicycling, and skateboarding. The trails run along a beautiful creek so you have great scenery to accompany your exercise. There is also a smaller track in the middle of the park for walking.  Pets, unfortunately, are not allowed at Don Fox Community Park, so leave Fido at home.

Behind the volleyball courts is a playground. This is the smaller of the two playgrounds at Don Fox Community Park. It has a large swing set and a separate climbing structure. This playground is designed for use by kids under age 10 and those with developmental disabilities. There are even ramps for wheel chairs!

There are two more covered picnic shelters between this playground and the main play area. There are 4 of these shelters throughout the park that are available to rent.  One is huge and the other 3 are a bit smaller.  In addition to these options, there are over 60 picnic tables scattered throughout Don Fox Community Park that are free to use on a first come, first serve basis.

The main playground is massive. It is entirely enclosed except for the entrance. There are several slides and  lots of swings including a tire swing. There is a climbing wall and a rope course. This area is full of nooks and crannies to run and climb through. There is so much more. You have to see it to believe it.

Behind the main playground is a gigantic open green space. If you have kids that love to run this park is going to thrill them.
