Cedars of Lebanon Trail Rides

There’s nothing better than spending a beautiful afternoon on horseback at Cedars of Lebanon State Park in Lebanon, TN. When you enter the park, just follow the signs to the horse stables, you can’t miss the big red barn! The trail rides opened for the season on April 3, 2019 and have been under new management since 2018.

Trail Ride Schedule and Pricing

Guided trail rides are scheduled Wednesday through Sunday 9 am- 5 pm.  Walk ups are welcome, but it is highly recommended to call in advance to ensure availability. Prices: $35 per Adult, $25 Seniors 65+ and $25 for Children 8-12. There is a weight maximum of 240 lbs.

Monday and Tuesdays are reserved for private rides, at $60 per hour per person. This trail rides must be scheduled in advance. You can reach the stables at 629-772-1687.

What to Expect

Staff suggest it is best to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled ride time. Be sure to wear close toed shoes and long pants are recommended. You are in the woods so you may find some bug spray helpful. After filling out some paperwork your guides will explain a few basics about riding and what to expect on the trails. Your horse will be saddled and waiting for you!

Next, your guide will help you saddle up and find the correct length for you stirrups. Then you are off for a relaxing 45 minute stroll through the woods of Cedars of Lebanon.

During our ride we spotted a turkey, a deer, lots of birds and some cactus plants (I had never seen cactus in Tennessee before)! The horses were all well behaved and enjoyed the fresh air as must as we did. Our guides were happy to answer all our questions about the horses.

When arriving back to the stables we got off our horses, again with the help of our guides and kissed our horses good bye! Be sure to pack yourself a cooler and enjoy and ice cold water when you’re through!
