4th of July Celebrations in Nashville and Middle Tennessee

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. Parades, watermelon and of course fireworks. Here is a list of fireworks displays scheduled in Nashville and Middle Tennessee.

Davidson County

Downtown Fireworks – July 4, 2023

Celebrate Independence Day 2023 with headliner Brad Paisley along with Ben Rector, The War And Treaty, Langhorne Slim, Tiera Kennedy, and more during the FREE Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th event in Downtown Nashville. This Fourth of July will feature one of the largest fireworks show in country with the pyrotechnics synchronized to a live performance by the GRAMMY-winning Nashville Symphony.

Music City Hot Chicken Festival – July 4, 2023 – 11AM – 3PM

Enjoy hot chicken and other food and drink from local vendors. The festival includes live music and a Fire Truck Parade. Get more info HERE.

Springfield – July 1, 2023 4PM – 10PM

Rutherford County

Murfreesboro – July 4, 2023 7:30PM – 9:30PM

Celebration under the Stars – The City of Murfreesboro presents its annual fireworks display from The Fountains at Gateway. This event will feature live music and fireworks. Bring chairs or blankets for seating. Find more information at this link.

La Vergne – July 4, 2023 @ 6PM

Gates open at 5:30 pm, and music starts at 6:00 pm. Admission is FREE. Families are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs, as well as their own picnic dinners. Visitors may also dine from a selection of food vendors that will be onsite. The spectacular fireworks show will begin at dusk. Find more information at this link.

Smyrna – July 1, 2023 @ 5PM

On July 1st, 2023, we will be celebrating our annual Smyrna Independence Day, Beginning at 5:00PM at Lee Victory Rec. Park, located at 110 Sam Ridley Parkway.

Join us for music, food & fun activities at the Lee Victory Recreation Park for the annual Smyrna Independence Day Celebration. 

We also invite you to park at the SOAC, where there will be outdoor activities and more.. Then once the sun goes down, get ready for one of Smyrna’s highlights of the year: the annual Fireworks show beginning at dark.

The Rain Out Date will be July 2nd, 2023.

Sumner County

Gallatin –  July 4, 2023 4PM – Dark

Presented by the City of Gallatin, Gallatin Parks & Recreation, and the Gallatin Fire Department. Join us for a fun day celebrating the Fourth of July with a foam party provided by the Gallatin Fire Department, multiple food trucks, and ending the night with a fireworks show! Hosted at Triple Creek Park, located at 240 Champion Drive in Gallatin. This is a free event, and the whole community is invited!

Hendersonville – Freedom Festival – July 3, 2023 5PM – 10PM

Goodlettsville July 3, 2023 4PM – 9PM

The City of Goodlettsville celebrates Independence Day on the 3rd of July in Moss-Wright Park. The event begins at 4:00pm and concludes after the fireworks display, which is scheduled to begin at 9:00pm.

A Kids Zone will be provided with inflatables, games, and fireman’s foam. Wristbands are $10/person for the inflatables. Fireman’s foam is free.  

We encourage families to bring a picnic blanket and chairs and enjoy food from one of our many vendors before the fireworks display begins. 

The event concludes with a spectacular fireworks display set to music.

Williamson County

Nolensville – Star Spangled Celebration July 1, 2023 6PM- 9PM

The Star Spangled Celebration will take place on Saturday, July 1 , 2023 at Nolensville High School from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This celebration will incorporate food vendors, inflatables, activities for the family, live entertainment, and fireworks.

Brentwood – July 4, 2023 7PM – 10PM

Franklin – July 4, 2023 10AM – 9:30PM

Thousands are expected to attend the popular Franklin on the Fourth celebration on the square happening Tuesday, July 4th in Franklin and sponsored by the Franklin Lions Club. Festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. with music, food and craft vendors, antique cars, and much more.  The event will also feature a Children’s Patriotic Parade at 5:00 p.m, line-up for the parade begins at 4:45, to register go to the Lions Club Booth on the square at the event.  There will be prizes for best costume and decorated bikes and wagons. New this year is a patriotic pet parade at 10:30 a.m., sign up is at Patriotic Pet Parade (franklinlionsclub.com)

The Park at Harlinsdale is the prime spot for viewing the fireworks show.  The show is sponsored by WAKM, and the City of Franklin. Friends of Franklin Parks is hosting the community in the Tractor Supply Co. Arena featuring music by Bizz and Everyday People starting at 6:00 p.m. There will also be family games provided by Games-to-Go, and food trucks and concessions.  Jackson is the stage Sponsor working with Friends of Franklin Parks. Other sponsors include Battle Ground Academy, Medical House Calls, Boyle, and 107.5 The River.  Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets to view the show.  The fireworks are expected to begin at approximately 9:00 p.m.

Wilson County

Lebanon – July 4, 2023 5PM – 9:30PM

This event will feature live music, car & motorcycle show, bounce house, free food and fireworks. Find more information HERE.
