100 Summer Fun Events for the whole Family

Ready to plan a summer of fun? Here are 100 summer fun events scheduled in Nashville and Middle Tennessee.  Whether your family loves music, movies, festivals or ‘all of the above’, you will find plenty of things to do together. Lots of these events take place on the weekend so don’t let your work schedule keep you from enjoying all that Nashville has to offer this season.  Check back throughout the summer, we will keep adding family fun until Labor Day!

  1. Cruise In every Friday night at The Streets of Indian Lake.
  2. Sign the kids up for a Boredom Busters Field Trip!  Fun excursions planned weekly from June through August.
  3. Experience Downton Saturdays at Cheekwood June 17 – September 9.
  4. Sign the kids up for a crafting class at Michaels.  There are classes all summer!
  5. Dance the night away every Saturday in June and July at the Big Band Dance.
  6. Sign the kids up to learn to sew this summer at JoAnn stores.
  7. Take a summer night hike at Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary on  August 10.
  8. Hear some Bluegrass music at the Amqui Pickin’ Party on   August 11.
  9. Relax at Carnton Plantation and hear the Sunset Concert Series on  July 30.
  10. Plan a tour of Nissan Manufacturing.
  11. Take the kids to Tales at Twilight every Friday in July.
  12. Experience Arts in the Park in Murfreesboro every Wednesday morning in July.
  13. Enjoy Pickin’ in the Park in Spring Hill   August 19 & September 16.
  14. See Inside Out at Movies Under the Stars in Murfreesboro July 17 – 22.
  15. Watch Home at AMC Classic Summer Movie Camp on July 17 or July 19.
  16. See Homeward Bound at the Kids at the Capitol Series on July 18.
